Terms and Conditions
1. Our Comprehensive Moving Services: Local & Cross-Country
CareWay Moving (“CareWay”) provides professional moving services, including Local Residential Moves in the GTA & across Ontario Relocations, specialized services like Office Movers Toronto and Specialty Item Movers, packing services, and junk removal. Storage services are not provided unless agreed upon in writing.
2. Transparent Quotes and Booking Agreement
Quotes are based on the accurate details provided by the Customer (addresses,
access, scope, etc.). Quotes are valid for the stated period (or 30 days if unspecified). A booking is confirmed once the Customer accepts the quote and pays the required deposit. We guarantee transparent moving quotes with no hidden fees added by CareWay.
3. Deposit and Final Payment Terms
A deposit of 20% is required to reserve the move date. Transportation/travel fee applies and may vary depending on the customer’s location. The remaining balance is due 30 minutes before unloading at the destination. Unloading will not commence until payment is completed.
4. Applicable Taxes (HST for Toronto/Ontario Moves)
All prices are subject to applicable Canadian taxes. Moves performed within Toronto and Ontario are subject to HST at the prevailing rate.
5. Estimates, Adjustments, and Additional Service Fees
Final charges reflect actual labor, crew size, hours, and services performed. Additional charges may apply for necessary services not disclosed in the original quote, such as long carries, unexpected elevator/stair use, packing materials, or customer-caused delays.
6. Changes, Rescheduling & Cancellation
• Cancellations >48 hours prior: Deposit is refunded minus processing fees.
• Cancellations <48 hours prior: Deposit is non-refundable.
• CareWay reserves the right to reschedule or cancel due to unsafe working conditions or unusual circumstances.
7. Liability, Insurance, and Damage Claims (Insured Moving Company)
CareWay is a fully Insured moving company Toronto trusts. Standard liability is Released Valuation ($0.60 per pound per item). Additional coverage is available upon request at the customer’s expense. All damage or missing item claims must be reported on the same day the service is rendered. CareWay is not liable for items packed by the Customer (PBO).
8. Customer Responsibilities: Parking, Access, and Building Permits
The Customer is responsible for arranging legal parking for the moving vehicle(s). Any resulting parking issues, fines, or towing expenses are the Customer’s responsibility. All necessary building permits, elevator bookings, or Certificates of Insurance (COIs) must be arranged in advance by the Customer.
9. On-Site Safety & Work Conditions
CareWay prioritizes crew safety and reserves the right to refuse or stop work in conditions deemed unsafe. CareWay is not liable for delays resulting from such unsafe conditions.
10. Labor Compliance
CareWay Moving complies with all applicable Ontario employment standards and labor laws regarding crew scheduling and work duration.
11. Vehicles, Permits & Regulatory Compliance
CareWay adheres to all Ontario and Canadian commercial vehicle regulations and safety standards. COI requests must be made in advance.
12. Privacy & Personal Information
CareWay collects necessary personal information for scheduling, communication, invoicing, and claims handling, and complies with all applicable privacy laws.
13. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law (Ontario/Canada)
Disputes unresolved internally may be taken to courts within Ontario, Canada. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada.
14. Force Majeure
CareWay is not responsible for delays caused by extreme weather, natural emergencies, road closures, strikes, or any events beyond our control.
15. Changes to Terms
CareWay may update these Terms at any time. The updated version will be posted on the website.
